Postcards

Prominently featuring typography as well as an original visual, students introduce themselvese on Day One of class in the form of a 6 x 4-inch postcard of their happy place. This can be a visitable locale, like a park or town or some other spot for which a postcard is plausible, but I’m also open to less conventional locations that we typically do not see marketed in this way. To demonstrate their growth over the semester, students submit a revised version of their Day One postcard with their final portfolio.
